Based on the official feature list from both the App Store and Google Play listings, here's what's actually in it, not marketing copy, the real functionality:
For the full breakdown of how Shore Points actually work once you're using them, redemption thresholds, the per-transaction cap, that's covered in more depth on our rewards program guide rather than repeated here.
Yes, in-store. Jersey Mike's terminals support Apple Pay, Google Pay, and standard contactless tap-to-pay at the physical counter, confirmed across multiple independent payment-tracker sources. You double-click the side button on your iPhone (or open your Wallet app) and hold it near the terminal, same as any other contactless payment.
One important distinction worth knowing: mobile wallets are not accepted for online orders placed through the app or the website, only at the in-store register. If you're ordering online for pickup or delivery, you'll need to use a saved credit or debit card, or a gift card entered at checkout, instead. PayPal and Venmo are also not accepted anywhere in the ordering flow.
Creating a MyMike's account through the app links your Shore Points, email club membership, and order history into one profile. This is also where the birthday reward gets triggered. Setting up your profile fully matters here, ordering as a guest skips point earning entirely, no exceptions.
Beyond the official feature list, the app's own review sections on Google Play and the App Store surface a few genuine, specific complaints worth knowing before you download. One Google Play reviewer wrote that they find it "offensive" to be charged roughly $3 extra "to offset the cost of an electronic transaction," on top of an already-tipped delivery order. Separately, an App Store reviewer specifically noted that Swiss cheese "is not listed as an option" in the app, even though it's available in-store, worth double-checking your cheese choice actually reflects what you want before submitting an order.
On the positive side, the customization flexibility gets consistent praise in both stores' reviews. Being able to adjust drink size or swap ingredients without restarting the order is the feature reviewers call out most often as genuinely useful.
The core menu and prices are the same either way, the app doesn't unlock a separate menu. What it does unlock is automatic point tracking (in-store orders only count if you scan your rewards QR code at checkout, easy to forget) and app-exclusive offers that show up in the Deals tab periodically. If you're a regular, the app earns its download purely on the points-tracking convenience. If you're ordering once and don't care about rewards, walking in and ordering normally works fine without it.
